Accessibility statement
We want everyone in Falkirk to be able to book a walk for their dog, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page explains what we have built and where we still have work to do.
Accessibility tools
Every public page has an accessibility button in the bottom-left corner (or press Alt + A). From there you can change theme, increase contrast, enlarge text, adjust spacing and line height, left-align text, highlight links and headings, pause animations and media, hide images, switch to a dyslexia-friendly font, reduce colour saturation, enlarge the cursor, turn on a reading guide or reading mask, add a strong focus outline, or have the page read aloud.
Your choices are remembered on your device, and if you are signed in they follow you to any device you use.
Keyboard navigation
You can move through the whole site with the Tab key. A “Skip to content” link appears first so you can jump past the navigation. Menus and dialogs can be closed with Escape, and focus is always visible.
Standards we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, including text spacing (1.4.12), reflow, contrast and reduced-motion requirements.
Known limitations
- Read aloud depends on the voices installed in your browser or device.
- Some decorative illustrations do not have detailed descriptions.
- Third-party embedded content may not meet the same standard.
